  Bill Mosiello has coached over 90 MLB players and made stops at SEC ,PAC 12 and BIG 12 schools. The accolades speak for themselves if you want to talk about post season appearances. Coach Mosiello has done just about everything possible you can do in the sport of college baseball. He took the Ohio State job because he wanted to be in Columbus. He saw the potential in Ohio State ,a school that has great facilities,fans and tradition. The national brand Ohio State speaks for itself. Mosiello talks about the time when the buckeyes hosted a super regional in 1999 he wants the program to have that level of success on a normal basis.                                                 Interview Below !!            

 Coach Hallmark has had an illustrious coaching career. His stops include Missouri,UIW and RICE where he was a part of a coaching staff that made the College World Series 2006-2008. In 2022 he led UTSA to 38-20 record overall and 19-11 in conference, the roadrunners defeated Southern Miss 3 times last year and had wins over Stanford, TCU, and top 25 Texas State.  While speaking with coach he kept a very positive attitude by saying he can't worry about things he cannot control therefore he focuses on teaching his team how to win games and everything else will fall in to place.  UTSA opens up next weekend with a series vs Tarelton State.                                                               Interview Below!

  Mike Kennedy has recorded over 800 career wins as the coach at Elon. I caught up with the longtime skipper of the phoenix, and we talked about all things college baseball along with their opening series vs Kentucky. Later in the season they will also face NC State and Wake Forest of the ACC.

  Coach Riggins had a great perspective on the many aspects of the game today.  When it came to the layers of umpiring, sometimes it can make or break a whole championship! While this is a tough job, it can also cost others theirs. Looking to the future, hopefully the implementation of more "instant replay" usage in certain situations will alleviate some of the more stressful close calls.  And what about those teams that were left out of the playoffs? If the playoffs should be expanded, how can that happen? Coach feels that it should be expanded, however does not have a  solution as of yet. How do coaches and schools ensure that the "best teams" are fairly represented, despite "Power 5" status? How do the smaller schools and HBCU's make an impact? Take Coastal Carolina for example, can the NCAA let something like that happen again, a non-Power 5 team winning the College World Series?   The Bears have a great tough but competitive schedule in 2023. This year coach Harlan is putting his kids to the test. The Bears will play three top 25 opponents on the road this season. No.1 LSU , Arkansas which reached the College World Series in 2022 and Vanderbilt. The Gameday atmosphere at all these stadiums is second to none.  Hopefully UCA will make a run this year.  Coach Harlan has great positive energy and that will be infectious in the dugout this season.                                                              Interview Below !                              

                         SIUE Baseball is set to open the 2023 season next weekend. The Cougars finished 27-28 last year just under 500.  We had a brief interview with head coach Sean Lyons on the circumstances surrounding today's game. The Cougars will open up at UIW and the following weekend at ULM, however later in the season they will face SEC Missouri and play a series vs Tennessee Tech.  

  Coach Banfield's straight forward style got right to the point and he gave an excellent interview from the perspective of a mid major baseball program in the Midwest. Oakland opens up with Lamar and will face Michigan and Michigan State later in the season.  Part 1 ,Part 2 below Part 2

If anybody remembers, Coach Sogard played on those great Oregon state baseball teams in the early 2000's. He would later finish his playing career at NC State. With five years at the helm of Wright State's team, he has consistently guided the Raiders to the regionals. He even landed Wright State in the top 25 rankings at the end of one year. This year Wright State will open up at Hawaii, and then battle SEC Kentucky and Arkansas on the road.

Mercer University will open with William & Mary. After that they will have an early season test VS Georgia Southern, who hosted a regional last year. The Bears also take an early-season road trip to Texas where they will face Baylor and the college-World-Series-qualifying Texas Longhorns in early March. UFCU Disch-Falk Field is one of the best places to watch a college baseball game in the country. I asked Coach Gibson about his opinion on the utilization of replay in college baseball. Coach Gibson agreed replay will help the sport and he gave a great example of when his team played an SEC opponent; one umpire calls a home run a foul ball and then the other empire called it a home run. I also asked Coach Gibson about expansion of the NCAA baseball tournament - he agreed that expansion will probably happen in the near future.
