Interview with UTSA head coach Pat Hallmark




 Coach Hallmark has had an illustrious coaching career. His stops include Missouri,UIW and RICE where he was a part of a coaching staff that made the College World Series 2006-2008. In 2022 he led UTSA to 38-20 record overall and 19-11 in conference, the roadrunners defeated Southern Miss 3 times last year and had wins over Stanford, TCU, and top 25 Texas State.  While speaking with coach he kept a very positive attitude by saying he can't worry about things he cannot control therefore he focuses on teaching his team how to win games and everything else will fall in to place.  UTSA opens up next weekend with a series vs Tarelton State.

 The first weekend in college baseball had some interesting match ups. So who was impressive? First, I'll talk about the teams that stayed undefeated, then the teams who had impressive weekends both at home and on the road. Many teams excelled this weekend but I'll only name a few in this article.  Impressive Undefeated Teams Michigan   went 4-0 in   the   Puerto Rico Challenge this Weekend defeating 4 teams from 4 different conferences. Arizona State was in a dog fight this past weekend vs Ohio State; every game in the series was competitive. ASU managed to go 3-0 and get the sweep. Teams that won the series on the road Illinois (2-1) won 2 out of 3 vs Abilene Christian at Whataburger field in Corpus Christi.
