Post Game Interview with Ohio State Head Coach Bill Mosiello at the Las Vegas Classic

 




In March Ohio State won 2 games at the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic. Coach Bill Mosiello in his 2nd season at Ohio State has the buckeyes at 23-22 Overall with two weeks left in the season. If the Buckeyes can head into the Big 10 Tournament around 500 and make a run they definitely have a chance at the post season bid. Early season wins over ranked West Virginia and Oklahoma could definitely help their case. Whatever happens it will be an interesting month of May in college baseball.

                                                                     pitcher: Ryan Ward In 2021 the UTSA Roadrunners finished the season 22-26 and finished 14-17 in conference: 12-14 away and 10-10 at home, they finished the season with a 5 game losing streak. Fast forward to 2022, UTSA finishes the season 38-20: 19-11 in conference. In addition, the Roadrunners were 16-13 away and 21-6 at home. 1st weekend college baseball 2025

 The first weekend in college baseball had some interesting match ups. So who was impressive? First, I'll talk about the teams that stayed undefeated, then the teams who had impressive weekends both at home and on the road. Many teams excelled this weekend but I'll only name a few in this article.  Impressive Undefeated Teams Michigan   went 4-0 in   the   Puerto Rico Challenge this Weekend defeating 4 teams from 4 different conferences. Arizona State was in a dog fight this past weekend vs Ohio State; every game in the series was competitive. ASU managed to go 3-0 and get the sweep. Teams that won the series on the road Illinois (2-1) won 2 out of 3 vs Abilene Christian at Whataburger field in Corpus Christi. Next week the Illini will travel to San Marcos to take on a tough Texas State team. Purdue (4-0) won four straight in Texas vs Stephen F Austin. Next week they play Niagara in North Carolina. Some Candidates for Texas A&M

  Pat Hallmark  If you want a good coach with a great philosophy this is your guy. No, its not the big name hire but it's the great coach I can win and build a solid program hire. Hallmark went 66-48 at UIW and now at UTSA with an overall record of 140-96. In 2023 the Road Runners received their first Top 25 ranking. He was also on the staff at Rice in the early 2000's that went to three straight College World Series in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Alex Sogard  If  you want to go young, Alex Sogard is the name . Four straight years he has been Horizon League Coach of the Year. In addition, he has led the Wright State Raiders to four straight regular season conference championships.
