In 2021 the UTSA Roadrunners finished the season 22-26 and finished 14-17 in conference: 12-14 away and 10-10 at home, they finished the season with a 5 game losing streak. Fast forward to 2022, UTSA finishes the season 38-20: 19-11 in conference. In addition, the Roadrunners were 16-13 away and 21-6 at home. UTSA had a 3 game win streak in the conference USA tournament defeating  and eliminating nationally ranked host team Southern Miss from  the tournament.  Many college baseball pundits believed UTSA should have gotten an at large bid to the NCAA tournament.

In 2023 they started the season 20-5 with an  early season win over Baylor  on  the road.  UTSA would be nationally ranked during the 2023 season. They would finish 38-19 Overall and 21-8 in conference. The local buzz in San Antonio is that UTSA is a team on the rise. Head coach Pat Hallmark and his players have a "work hard, play good" baseball mentality. This message was evident at practice.
We are looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings this "on the rise" ball club.
