 Corey Muscara has been named Duke head coach. Muscara comes to Durham from Winston Salem after being the pitching coach at Wake Forest the last 4 seasons. He started his career at southern New Hampshire and continually rose thru the ranks with success at all levels. Duke lost in the super regionals to Murray State ,who took the final bid to the college world series.   Finally UTSA has extended Pat Hallmark to a contract thru 2029. Hallmark led the Roadrunners to a historical win over Texas in the Austin Regional. It was the school's first appearance in a super regional. Many believe this is  UTSA's biggest athletic achievement. He came to UTSA from crosstown rival UIW in 2020. He has made many coaching stops most notably Rice from 2006-2016 where he was a part of a staff that made the college world series. He Also coached at Missouri on his journey to become a head coach.  UTSA has had a winning record every year under his leadership and hopefully now he will get the resources and the facility he needs to grow this program and hopefully one day host a regional.

  This year was not the typical one for Texas Tech baseball, but give them credit for scheduling tough! Week 1 the Red Raiders were on the road at a top 10 North Carolina Tarheel team, then came back home the second weekend to face UC Irvine. The 3rd week of the regular season they faced the number 1 team in the country - Texas. Also in there were power 5 schools Washington and Illinois, at the Las Vegas Classic. The next weekend was on the road against a tough Grand Canyon team that gave Stanford a rough time and is a very well respected mid Major baseball program. They also had a tough mid week against an SEC Oklahoma team that was ranked at the time. The Red Raiders were able to pick up wins against Arizona and WVU, two of the top teams in the conference in addition to that a sweep against the Houston Cougars on the road.  A tough loss to Cincinnati ended the season, however this team showed some grit until the very last out.

  Tulane knocked off the top-seeded UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday. This marks the 3rd straight trip to the championship game for the Green Wave, who won the conference Tournament in 2024. It seems like they definitely love playing in Clearwater. Tomorrow it will be ECU who has won three straight. Cliff Godwin, the head coach of the Pirates, is no stranger to the big stage.
