Kansas State Tops WVU 8-4 in Big 12 Tournament

 





The story of the game was Owen Boerema, who pitched a complete game throwing 131 pitches. The Wildcats would put together a 7-run 4th inning that would give them a comfortable lead . After that the Wildcats would never look back and Owen Boerema would only give up one run in the bottom of the 9th. WVU leaves the BIG 12 Tournament confident and hopeful that they will be selected on Monday to go play in a Regional. Next, Kansas State will wait to see who they will face on Thursday in the Big 12 Tournament.

 The first weekend in college baseball had some interesting match ups. So who was impressive? First, I'll talk about the teams that stayed undefeated, then the teams who had impressive weekends both at home and on the road. Many teams excelled this weekend but I'll only name a few in this article.  Impressive Undefeated Teams Michigan   went 4-0 in   the   Puerto Rico Challenge this Weekend defeating 4 teams from 4 different conferences. Arizona State was in a dog fight this past weekend vs Ohio State; every game in the series was competitive. ASU managed to go 3-0 and get the sweep. Teams that won the series on the road Illinois (2-1) won 2 out of 3 vs Abilene Christian at Whataburger field in Corpus Christi.
