College Baseball Weekly

  Ball State took an 8-2 lead in the MAC Championship game. However, top seed and host Kent State came back and took a 9-8 lead. Many thought the Cardinals would have a similar fate to 2022, but Ball State would fight back and retake the lead 12-9. In 2023 the Cardinals wanted to leave no doubt about their NCAA tournament hopes. This time they finished the job and won the MAC tournament.

 Every year there is one big story during College Baseball season. This year the story was Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon being fired for gambling. Alabama is a very powerful athletic department and I'm sure they are ready to move on with a replacement. Who are the best candidates? Well every website has their list, here is ours. Alex Sogard  Wright State  Sogard is a young coach who will bring great energy. He has had great success at mid major Wright State where he has been the head coach since 2019.  His record is 113 -66. Sogard Played College ball at Oregon State and NC State.  Pat Hallmark UTSA Coach Hallmarks record speaks for its self 136-101. Hallmark has made stops at Missouri along with being a part of the Rice Coaching Staff that made runs to the College World Series in the Mid 2000's.
