Matt Bragga in his 2nd season after return to Tennessee Tech

Image
In 2018 Matt Bragga lead Tennessee Tech to one of the most exciting super regionals in recent history. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Texas Longhorns however all the games in that series were fun and competitive.  In 2023  Tech will be  looking to get back to the regional.  Opening weekend they will host Bowling Green followed by tough road trips to Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt early in the season.   Matt Bragga is back home after a short 2 year stint at Rice.  The Program looks to return to the top of the top OVC.

Ball State and other teams deserve a spot in the NCAA tournament

Image
Ball State baseball went 40-19 last year. The Cardinals also went 32-7 in conference. Despite all that they didn't make the NCAA tournament.  The rule for the MAC is you must win the conference Tournament.  The cardinals came up short against Central Michigan however they had a great season. Now that being said C. Michigan earned the spot and they deserved it. Ball State like UTSA and Rutgers were some of the teams many pundits thought got snubbed at the end of the 2022 season. The question is now is it time for tournament expansion. In College Football they will now expand to 12 teams for the college football playoff. In college basketball they introduced the first four in a couple years back.  Is now the time for college baseball to introduce a bigger bracket? Who knows only time will tell. Nevertheless Ball State opens up with Charlotte to begin the 2023 season.

Link Jarrett to open up a new chapter at FSU

Image
Florida State hired Link Jarrett in June 2022  to take over the program.  The Seminoles lost last year in the Auburn regional. Last year Jarrett led Notre Dame to their first college world series appearance in 20 years. FSU fired Mike Martin Jr, son of the legendary Mike Martin. The 'Noles Athletic Department wanted to head in another direction. Link Jarrett will lead the 2023 Seminoles into an opener with James Madison. In addition, they will have an early season road test against TCU. The Horned Frogs, a post-season regular, made  the College World Series 4 times in the last decade (2014, 2015, 2016,and 2017).  Hopefully it will be an exciting year in Tallahassee!

MLB4 Tournament Opening Weekend

Image
The 2023 tournament will host some of the greatest programs in college baseball. Michigan,Tennessee, and  Arizona will all participate in the tournament opening weekend of 2023. It is almost mid-January and  before you know it February will be here and college baseball will be back.  Michigan had a great run that was ended by some controversial calls against Louisville. Tennessee had an incredible season last year going 57-9, unfortunately it ended with a heart breaking loss to Notre Dame. Vols SEC rival would win the 2022 College World Series.
