Clemson hires Bakich to lead program

Clemson Hires Erik Bakich From Michigan. Bakich was head coach at Maryland from 2010-2013 and Head Coach at Michigan from 2013-2022. In 2019 he lead the wolverines to the college world series. In 2022 he lead the wolverines to the BIG Ten Conference tournament championship. The wolverines had a controversial exit from the NCAA tournament on a bad replay ruling vs Louisville. He also won Multiple coach of the year awards in 2019.

 The first weekend in college baseball had some interesting match ups. So who was impressive? First, I'll talk about the teams that stayed undefeated, then the teams who had impressive weekends both at home and on the road. Many teams excelled this weekend but I'll only name a few in this article.  Impressive Undefeated Teams Michigan   went 4-0 in   the   Puerto Rico Challenge this Weekend defeating 4 teams from 4 different conferences. Arizona State was in a dog fight this past weekend vs Ohio State; every game in the series was competitive. ASU managed to go 3-0 and get the sweep. Teams that won the series on the road Illinois (2-1) won 2 out of 3 vs Abilene Christian at Whataburger field in Corpus Christi. Next week the Illini will travel to San Marcos to take on a tough Texas State team. Purdue (4-0) won four straight in Texas vs Stephen F Austin. Next week they play Niagara in North Carolina.
